It is essential to understand who a person is and how they can live in harmony with others. The relationship between the individual and society must be viewed with reciprocity. Without society, the individual cannot survive or evolve as a human being, and society cannot exist except through individuals.
Society shapes people, while they continuously influence society. The individual, as a transient phenomenon, is an element in the continuous social chain and is permanently influenced by the group to which they belong.
Our happiness often depends on interactions with others and the ability to cooperate, which we develop from childhood, with the help of parents, educators, specialists, and the environment in which we live. Successful people are those who have learned the art of cooperation and who face life with an optimistic attitude, born from courage and self-confidence. Communication with family, with children in the playground or kindergarten, social integration can be affected by language disorders that occur in some children.
As the child grows, their active vocabulary must be developed through age-specific games, the purpose of which is to develop correct pronunciation of words. The influence of family factors plays an important role in the first years of life. The family is responsible for the development of the child's language until they are integrated into kindergarten or school.
Language as a tool for communication
Language is an essential tool for communication and expressing thoughts and feelings, and its development in the preschool period is essential for a good start in the child's social and intellectual life. During this period, language develops rapidly, due to the social environment from which the child comes, but also due to the psychological and neurophysiological mechanisms that underlie its formation.
A language disorder can occur for various reasons and may involve difficulties in understanding the meaning of speech, problems with verbal expression and articulation, fluency problems, or problems in understanding written messages. Parents who notice such problems in their child should request an evaluation from a speech therapist to determine the causes and begin therapy as soon as possible. In-office speech therapy is the most desirable method, but in specific situations such as a pandemic or long distances, online speech therapy can be an advantageous solution.
The importance of specialized intervention
It is important to give increased importance to appropriate intervention and the involvement of parents and specialists so that the child can overcome any crisis situation and capitalize on their potential. The child's success in intellectual and mental development is the most important aspect that should interest us, so speech therapy can be an essential solution in this regard.
It is evident that in-office speech therapy is the most desirable therapy. In a pandemic context, in situations where we have long distances to travel, when we rely on support from the parent, when the beneficiary of speech therapy is quasi-independent in the use of technological resources, online speech therapy can be an advantageous solution.
